On February 10th, 2012 @ 915 A.M. Cape Breton Regional Police responded to 247 Legatto Street, Sydney Mines regarding property damage. Overnight someone threw yellow and white paint on the 4 X 4 window and surrounding siding.

On the 5th of February 2012; Cape Breton Regional Police are seeking, any information with regards to a report of a break enter and theft. Someone on a Ski Do went to the Garage/Bar at 4049 Grand Narrows, Boisdale. They forced there way into the building and took a Gas Air Compressor and tools. The suspects left via the Ski Do.

On February 18, 2012 the RCMP Port Hawkesbury Detachment received a report of a break and enter to the; Rogers Wireless Store at the Causeway Shopping Center located at 9-634 Reeves Street, Port Hawkesbury, NS.
The suspects entered the store and stole money and several cellular telephones.

On February 12, 2012 the RCMP Inverness District - Port Hawkesbury Detachment received a report of a theft, which occurred on Trainor Drive, Port Hawkesbury, N.S. Witnesses stated that between February 11, 2012 and February 12, 2012, a grey or dark colored truck, drove into a private driveway and stole a black 48" Kempex ATV Snow Plow attachment.

On February 13, 2012 the RCMP Inverness District Port Hawkesbury Detachment received a report of a hit and run, which occurred on the same date at a parking lot located at 109 Sydney Road; Port Hawkesbury, NS.

The suspect vehicle drove into a parked red/black pick up truck, causing the truck to roll down the hill.

On Jan 19^th, 2012, a dark colored, either Grand Prix or Malibu entered a driveway in a subdivision near Johnston Road, North Sydney. One male exited the passenger side of the vehicle and attended at the residence looking to see a Ski-Do that was for sale at the residence. After a short conversation with the home owner, the unknown male sprayed the owner with what appears to be bear spray. The home owner was further assaulted during the altercation

The unknown male was described as 5 11” to 6’ with long black hair and dark colored freckles. This male returned to the awaiting vehicle and fled from the area

Cape Breton Crime Stoppers is seeking assistance from the public in solving an incident of a break & enter in Sydney River.

On the 1^st of December 2011 Cape Breton Regional Police responded to a break & enter at 12 Birchdale Dr Sydney River. The home was entered sometime between 3:00pm and 5:00pm no forced entry used however home was locked prior to victim leaving. Several thousands of dollars’ worth of women’s jeweler was taken. A white vehicle was seen in the area of the home at the time, however it is not known if there is a connection.

Cape Breton Regional Police received a call of some baby barn being broken into at 682 Union Street in New Waterford. On December 28, 2011 some time overnight the locks and latches were pried off of two baby barns. The following items where taken;

1.     Generator (no make or model known)

2.     Mastercraft Air Compressor (brand new still in box)

3.     Mastercraft Cordless Drill

4.     Mastercraft Drill with power cord

5.     Mastercraft Routers

6.     Mastercraft Skill Saw

7.     Mastercraft Reciprocating Saw

Cape Breton Crime Stoppers is seeking assistance from the public in solving an incident of vehicle thefts in Sydney Mines.

On Saturday January 14, 2012 Cape Breton Regional Police attended 2 Amber Drive, Sydney Mines regarding two vehicles entered overnight. Both cars had wallets left in the front glove compartment of the vehicles, and both were taken. One of the vehicles also had some content set on fire on the passenger floor. Cape Breton Regional Police advised that the victim wallets were located on the road near civic 14 Amber Drive. 
 
Cape Breton Regional Police also received a complaint from 21 Amber Drive regarding a third vehicle entry.

The Cape Breton Regional Police are seeking any information with regards to a fire; Thursday January 19, 2012 around 6:30 P.M. someone set a fire to a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire in the driveway at 17 Gears Lane Florence. A male Suspect wearing a gray hoodie and gray pants was seen in the area.

RCMP received a report that on 2012-01-14 between 2:00 and 2:30 pm, a green 2010 Jeep Cherokee was struck while parked at the Sobey`s - Port Hawkesbury store located at 634 Reeves Street, Port Hawkesbury, NS.
